Meet Our Staff

PRINCIPAL – Mrs. Mary Stenner [mstenner@cdeducation.org]

Mary is starting her 46th year in education, 25 years of teaching experience and 20 years of administrative experience. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S and a M. A. in Education and from Ashland University with a Master’s in Elementary Administration. Mary taught in the Columbus Public Schools for 3 years before moving back to Coshocton where she worked in the Coshocton City Schools for 33 years. She will begin her tenth year at Sacred Heart as principal. Mary attends Sacred Heart Church where she serves as a lector. Mary has been married to Jerry for 47  years and has 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandsons and 2 step-great grandson.

ALL DAY PRE-KINDERGARTEN – Mrs. Valeree Bryant [vbryant@cdeducation.org]

Mrs. Bryant teaches all day pre-kindergarten. Mrs. Bryant has been married to her husband John for 18 years, and they have two daughters ages 18 and 9. Mrs. Bryant graduated from The Union Institute and University in 2006 with a B.S. degree in Early Childhood and then went on to get her Masters in Early Childhood from Muskingum University in 2013. Mrs. Bryant obtained her Reading Endorsement as well. Mrs. Bryant worked for Coshocton City Schools for four years.

KINDERGARTEN – Mrs. Sheryl Moses [smoses@cdeducation.org]

Mrs. Moses is starting her fourth year teaching kindergarten at Sacred Heart School.  Mrs. Moses taught in The Netherlands at The American School of The Hague before coming to Sacred Heart.  Mrs. Moses went back to school “as an adult” to get her Master’s in Education. She also has a Bachelors degree in Business from The College of Mount St. Joseph. This past year Mrs. Moses completed the courses to receive her Reading Endorsement and is excited to use what she has learned with her students. Mrs. Moses has been married for 23 years to Joe, and they have three sons. Nathan, Kyle, Ryan.  Mrs. Moses attends church at St. Francis de Salles in Newcomerstown where she also teaches PSR.

FIRST & SECOND GRADE – Mrs. Mary Kobel [mkobel@cdeducation.org]

Mrs. Kobel received her undergraduate degree from Walsh University in Sociology.  She worked for 10+ years as a social worker in Coshocton.  She continues to work in adoption services.  Mrs. Kobel received her master’s degree in education from Muskingum University.  She is certified in preschool through third grade.  She is beginning her tenth year at Sacred Heart School.  She has taught a first and second grade split class, second grade and currently teaches a first and second grade split class again.  Mrs. Kobel’s older daughters, Emily and Sophia, both attended Sacred Heart School from kindergarten through sixth grade.  Her youngest daughter, Bridget, is now in third grade at Sacred Heart.  Mrs. Kobel herself attended Sacred Heart School through 8th grade, as did her 6 brothers and 1 sister.  Her mother attended through her junior year when the high school closed.  She and her husband own Kobel’s Landscaping and Nursery. She is a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

THIRD-SIXTH GRADES RELIGION AND SOCIAL STUDIES – Mrs. Pat Andrews [pandrews@cdeducation.org]

Mrs. Andrews has been a teacher at Sacred Heart School for 32 years.  She began her teaching career at Sacred Heart teaching kindergarten.  She also taught third grade for many years.  Mrs. Andrews currently teaches religion and social studies for grades 3-6 and 5/6 language arts and science.  Mrs. Andrews received her BS in Education from Bowling Green State University.  She taught for 8 years in the Cleveland Metro School System before relocating to Coshocton.  She and her husband Robert have 2 children, Rob and Brian.  Both attended Sacred Heart School through the sixth grade.  Mrs. Andrews and her husband are actively involved in the Knights of Columbus. She is a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

THIRD-SIXTH GRADE SCIENCE AND MATH / Mrs. Pam Wheeler [pwheeler@cdeducation.org]

Mrs. Wheeler, a retired teacher from Coshocton City Schools, will be teaching third through sixth grade math as well as third and fourth grade language arts and science.  She has two sons, three grandsons and one granddaughter.  Mrs. Wheeler received her B.S. in Education from Muskingum College and her M.A. in Education from Ashland University.  She and her sons attended Sacred Heart School.  She is looking forward to teaching in her old elementary building.
